Connect your arms and body for effortless power

Lost distance and a floppy chicken-wing finish usually come from your arms and body working apart. The golf impact ball trains them to move together. Hold it between your forearms and it keeps your swing connected, compact and powerful through impact.

  • Trains arm and body connection for a compact swing
  • Stops the chicken-wing and early release
  • Adds power and consistency to your strike
  • Lightweight and washable, so it travels anywhere
  • One of the easiest aids for a beginner to feel

What connection actually means

In a good swing your arms, chest and shoulders rotate as one unit. The arms do not race ahead and the chest does not stall. That is connection, and it is why some golfers generate obvious power without appearing to swing hard at all.

When the arms separate from the body, two things go wrong. You lose the leverage the big muscles provide, and the clubface arrives in a slightly different place every time because the arms are steering independently. Thin shots, fat shots and that collapsed lead elbow all trace back to it.

How the ball fixes it

Hold the ball between your forearms and it becomes physically impossible to let your arms separate. Drop it and you know immediately. No interpretation required and no video needed, which is what makes it one of the fastest-working aids we sell.

Start with half swings and no ball. You will probably drop it in the first few attempts, usually at the top of the backswing or just after impact. That tells you exactly where your connection breaks down.

A simple ten-minute routine

Ten slow rehearsal swings holding the ball. Ten half shots with a wedge. Ten three-quarter shots with a 7 iron. Then take the ball out and hit five normal shots, trying to keep the same feel. Repeat most days for a fortnight and the feel starts to hold without the aid.

Pair it with a wrist trainer if you also cast the club. Read our guide on what lag is and how to create more of it.

How does the impact ball help my swing?

It keeps your arms and chest working together through impact, so the arms stop breaking down and you get a more powerful, repeatable strike.

Is a golf impact ball good for beginners?

Yes. It is one of the easiest ways to feel a connected swing, and the feedback is instant, so it suits beginners and improving golfers alike.

Can you hit balls while using it?

Yes. Start with rehearsal swings, then move to half shots with a wedge before building up to full swings.

Will an impact ball fix my chicken-wing?

It targets the cause directly. A chicken-wing is the lead arm collapsing because the arms have separated from the body, and the ball makes that separation impossible.
